Operating the 4 Burner Glass Hob.

Push the knob in, turn the knob to the left and hold it in while lighting the burner / plate / oven with a match or a lighter OR the ignition switch (model specific).

Keep the knob pushed in for approx. 5 seconds for FFD to warm up, then release the knob slowly. For initial startup, the knob should be held in for longer.

The burners / plates should now be lit, and stay lit.

Should the flame die for whatever reason, the knob must be turned back to the “off” position and the process must be repeated.

Should the flame die for whatever reason, a ‘click’ sound will be heard approx. 5 seconds after the flame dies. This ‘click’ sound is the FFD (Flame Failure Device) that cuts off the gas supply, to prevent gas from coming through the system and causing potential damage.
